Thank you for all your excellent videos, but most of all for your fantastic playing! I love the amount of consideration you put into your notes (and your words) and think this, as well as your fretboard wiggle, makes you one of my all time favourite players. I would love to see you play if I ever come to the US. Thanks again, Bo from Brighton.

Mark, loved your review of the Taylor 714CE in Blackheart Sassafras. I purchased one recently based on your review. Your playing is terrific. Is there somewhere I can get the tab for the first song you played in that review? I'm assuming it's an original piece...very nice!

Hope you are well. It has been too long since we've played together. I have always been a fan of your playing and would love to get together and jam.

I've had the pleasure of working with Mark Lucas on two separate occasions on a hybrid concert performance titled "Synthesis". I was advised of Mark by a musician who knew I sought a musician that could adapt to the multiple musical elements incorporated into the Synthesis concept. My cousin Rex Rideout had questioned if we could find a guitarist within Pittsburgh or regionally to fill the role. Inconspicuously I went to see Mark play at a reoccurring gig he performed at in the city. Immediately I was struck by his lyrical sound, fresh and spontaneous use of ideas and the obvious woodsheding he had done to play so remarkably. I watched him confidently go toe to toe with Ledisi (multiple Grammy nominated artist)with sheer delight and the versatility of a chameleon. Later on I found we shared a fondness for Joni Mitchell, Miles, and Picasso. Most importantly I found a friend who I enjoy seeing perform who continues to evolve and remains restless in his dedication to his guitar and his artistic pursuits. When I think of any musical pursuits and/or concepts it's a given that Mark is my guitarist of choice. What's equally as profound is his character. He emits the same aura in character that his soul releases through his guitar. To witness his wellspring of ideas and technical prowess is nothing short of amazing. Thanks Luke, My Man.

Hello Mark. Your playing has truly inspired me to pick up a classical guitar. I have been trying to get a hold of you via PNS and your inbox here for lessons. I hope to hear from you soon!

I became a fan of your playing while watching the telecaster demos. It caught me totally unaware. I found myself saving your tips and tricks (something I am doing now is finding those triads on strings 6 and 5 as a bit of an exercise as you mentioned). I have returned to 'guitar' recently after over a decade hiatus, but REALLY want to learn and do it right this time. I was reminded, by hearing you play, that what I need is more FRETBOARD LOGIC and not another song (or even more than my Taylor at this point, although I would like one electric to pursue my goal here). Sorry for rambling. I'm a fan of your tips and tricks, but wish there was a way to learn more (maybe have some exercises that meet me at my level). Do you teach in such a way for a fee, of course??? (I'd be in heaven if you did). ------ God Bless, Doreen

Hi Mark, I am so glad I found your Youtubes. I have been playing for years without direction, until several years ago, when I discovered a book om modes. I love your playing. Your tips anf tricks on Youtube regarding Pentatonics really delighted me. Using the Gmaj7, CMaj7 and playing the E minor pentatonics seem to light up my brain. I also tried using the Amin11, Dmin9 which was really interesting using those pentatonics. Wish I had a teacher like you when I was younger, but still love playing and learning a little more every day. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and talent.

Thank you. Regardless of which guitar you play, you demonstrate the necessity of skill and inspiration which supersedes the cost or quality of the instrument. The artist shines through the various tools of the artisan.

Just wanted to say how much I enjoy your YouTube guitar demonstrations (of gear I can currently only dream of). Truly educational and inspirational.

I must show appreciation to the writer just for bailing me out of this particular dilemma. Right after researching through the online world and getting methods which were not pleasant, I believed my life was done. Being alive without the answers to the issues you've resolved as a result of your good blog post is a critical case, as well as those that would have in a negative way affected my entire career if I hadn't discovered your blog. Your own personal talents and kindness in touching all things was precious. I don't know what I would've done if I hadn't come upon such a stuff like this. I'm able to at this moment look ahead to my future. Thanks so much for this expert and amazing guide. I won't be reluctant to propose your web page to anybody who needs direction on this topic.

First time ever that we appear to have common tastes with music.

How is it that with these amazing guitars you 're handling, you are not famous ?
You're doing well...
And these guitars you're reviewing are great.

Hi Mr, Lucas
Congratulations for your guitar reviews on N'stuff.com. On this website one can hear the difference in sound between a Martin D-28 Marquis & let's say a D-16, whereas on others you could hardly tell as they all seem to be the same recordings (as at Thomann's for instance)...
If you were to buy an electric-acoustic steel strung guitar, and had no real concern for prices up to the 3000$ or 3500$ range, what would you choose between the Taylor's Expression System or the Martin's Aura F1 as in GP or OM CPA1 (or others), when it comes to live acts ?
And what about Nylon strung guitars ? You've had so many great instruments within your hands whereas here not even one D 28 nearer than 50km it seems...
Keep practising these excellent tunes & lovely tones for us...
Regards from Montpellier(France), Bernie.
